In a personal injury claim, the opposing party’s car insurance will not pay medical bills until after we have settled your case or obtained a verdict at trial.
If you have health insurance, you should always provide your health insurance information to your medical providers. If you do not have medical insurance, you can tell the provider you have an attorney. Many providers will not send the bill to collections if they know you have an attorney pursuing a personal injury claim. Many providers will also agree to a payment plan should your bills be at risk of going to collections.
Send us all bills or other letters you receive from providers and your medical insurance, even if they think we have it already. We may be able to obtain additional recovery for you through your own vehicle insurance called medpay (Medical Payments Coverage).
